Policies and Procedures
Users of the Hoglund Biomedical Imaging Center's equipment and its resources are required to be familiar with and comply with all policies and procedures. Please refer to the following documents for scanning and other general guidelines:

Cancellations
HBIC charges for subject no-shows or cancelations (within 7 calendar days). Please continue to send all resource cancelations to HBIC personnel at HBICschedulemanager@kumc.edu.
In addition, we have created a listserv - Hbic-coordinators@listserv.kumc.edu - that you can use to "advertise" your open slots ONCE canceled. This is totally OPTIONAL. Communication through this listserv goes to all active study coordinators conducting studies at HBIC. Your study will not be charged if the canceled spot is taken up by another paid activity.
MRI Safety
While not required, an overview of MRI Safety (PPT) is also available for anyone who would like to know more about MRI and why certain policies and procedures are in place.
For those utilizing MRI as part of their study, it is always good practice to screen potential study candidates for any exclusions prior to the day of the scan. We have put together a list of suggested questions and items to inquire about for those who would like guidance on how to screen for MRI, as well as a copy of our MRI screening form that needs to be filled out the day of the scan:
