The PKD Research Biomaterials and Cellular Models Core provides human and animal PKD tissues and high quality biological materials to investigators and assists in the development and use of PKD cellular models to test specific hypotheses and evaluate drug effects.

Core operations include procurement and handling of human kidneys, collection of tissue, cyst fluid, and development of high quality biomaterials, e.g. primary cystic cells, DNA, and RNA, as well as the collection of serum, plasma and urine from PKD patients. The core also works with investigators to provide technical assistance on PKD cell models.
