Minor in Digital Health

You're required to take electives – so choose courses providing actual preparation for employment in the digital health care space. This minor will allow you to be a more competitive job applicant and provides an expanded range of employment options.

Digital health professionals assist health care providers in leveraging tools like mobile apps, software, wearable technologies, patient monitoring devices and others to improve wellness and patient care. One aspect of digital health is the technology itself and how it is applied; another aspect of it is ensuring that data and information yielded from these tools is of high quality, useful and accessible.

In this minor, students complete coursework focused on health data and information management, health information technology, health care delivery and organizational structures, project management and information security, among others.

Program Eligibility

To enroll, the ideal student has a 3.0 or higher GPA and has successfully completed a course in a related area such as computing science, information systems, information technology, etc.

Successful completion requires earning a grade of ‘C’ or higher in each course in this minor.
